Our Trip To Bodmin by the French students

ON THE PLANE

The plane took off at 18.50pm. We arrived at Exeter airport at 20.00pm English time, after, we took a bus from Bodmin college to go to the Torview Centre.

OUR ACCOMMODATION

We got to the Torview in the evening.

MONDAY AFTERNOON

We went to the Eden Project. It’s a special sort of garden, composed of a tropical biome and a mediteranean biome which explain the positive effects of plants on our environment.

TUESDAY MORNING

We made little cards to write our personal pledges about global warming. These little cards will be hung on our tree which is to be planted on Friday morning outside the college.

TUESDAY AFTERNOON

We did a drama session to explain the feeling of the victims of tsunamis like Fukushima and we formed ourselves into human tableaux – or pictures. The first tableau depicted survivors’ feelings after the tsunami and the second one explained the feelings towards environment and objects.

WEDNESDAY

In the morning, we attended classes with Bodmin students. In the afternoon, we went to Plymouth to meet polar explorers. They explained the consequences of global warming and the melting of the polar ice caps. Afterwards, we walked by the seaside along Plymouth Hoe and we had fish and chips for dinner on the Barbican. It was a very nice day!!

THURSDAY AFTERNOON

We did climbing and bungee jumping. It was very amusing and a little bit frightening at the beginning. After that, we spent the evening at the homes of  English students.

FRIDAY MORNING

We sang a song about the environment and the climate. The song was written by a German teacher and some of the English students. Tabea, Charlyn, Vanessa, Memphis, Louise and Sarah were the singers and all the other students were the chorus.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON

We played netball. It’s an English game like basketball. All nationalites played together in different teams. That was a very good moment.
